Yeah, I thought he was retiring but the headline I read on ESPN made it sound like he just got fired. But I read the article and it's nothing new. Sorry for the confusion.

That Maisel article is pure crap...

38-36 in SEC play
0-5 vs. GA
0-3 vs. FL
3-6 vs. LSU (0-4 since '02)
2-4 vs. Tennie
1-1 vs. Vandy
2-2 vs. Kentucky (7 OT win w/ MJ)
5-4 against Bama and 1 game over .500 against Auburn.
0-2 in SECCGs
0-2 vs. USC (120 against - 31 for total points)
2-5 in bowl games (0-3 vs. Big Ten)
0 BCS appearances
Longest tenured BCS coach with no BCS game invitation.
67-44 overall with 19 wins over the likes of SEMO, Mizzou St., ULM, etc. and 21 wins over the Mississippi Schools, S. Carolina and Vandy.
Transfered from Arkansas as a player himself.

THAT IS MY PROBLEM!
One National Championship, Six Final Four Appearances, Nine Appearances in the Elite Eight, 14 Appearances in the Sweet 16, 27 NCAA Tournament Bids, 39 NCAA Tournament Victories, 24 Postseason Tournament Appearances since 1977, 92 First-Team All-Conference Selections

Landon, I don't go to Monday Morning Quarterback any more on Hogville.net. The negativity there is even more than mine. I know we'll have a good team next year and Nutt is an alright coach, but I expect better. All the other boards are ok on Hogville, but I don't even like looking at the crap on there.

Bamafreak, tell me what is wrong with my post? I just put the facts.

So what do you think of the quotes from 2 of our best players?

From Turmoil leaves Arkansas far from Hog Heaven - USATODAY.com

"....Arkansas players say it hasn't been a distraction. 'For us, it hasn't been difficult,' McFadden says. 'For Coach Nutt, I feel like it's outrageous and crazy for anyone to have to put their family through things like that. He knows we support him, the whole team.'

"Running back Felix Jones says he takes the criticism of Nutt personally. 'I just feel like when you're attacking him, you're attacking us as well,' the running back says...."

Keep it up because the Hogs on the team are getting pissed!! Don't piss of a hog

WPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's good to hear that the players are still behind Nutt. IMO, he's on the hotseat for sure. But it says a lot about the players that they have their coach's back. As long as Nutt still has control of the team, a good year is in store IMO.

Never underestimate Nutt's ability to fire up a team. He can turn this around in a big way. If he gets his team thinking they have something to prove, then lookout.

Nothing wrong with the post. I wasn't aware of most of these facts (obviously) and some of them caught me a little by surprise. Nutt has never impressed me as a coach (Not that we've done much better as of late) but I had no idea that he was the longest tenured BCS coach with no BCS game invitation. That's amazing considering that even Mike DuBose went to one.

Man, woud you please remove that Razorback emblem. You obviously hate the Razorbacks because you are still trying to tear them down even when this stuff is old news to most.

shanksta, I love the Razorbacks. I never have nor will I ever give up on this program. I have endured through the losses in basketball and the losing seasons in football and I'll be there next year with my season tickets cheering for team, and Nutt, every game.

Landon, maybe you should realize a fan doesn't have to a mindless lemming. I can't wait for BBall season, I am happy for the baseball team, I can't wait to watch Darren McFadden and the Razorbacks, but I can't stand Nutt and will have a huge smile the day he is fired. Maybe if you check the BBall board, you'll see me fighting the good fight for the BBall team. Don't EVER again say I am not a Razorback fan.
