Auburn has been such a thorn in our side over the years. NEVER take them lightly. You never know how good a team will be. That is why I hate preseason polls. The first polls should come out after week 6 in my opinion.
We are now thinking alike Silver!!!!

1. Brodie Croyle - Alabame
2. D.J Shockley - UGA
3. Chris Leak - Florida
4. Jamarcus Russell - LSU
5. Erik Ainge - Tennessee ..... And I am being generous. I just don't believe this kid yet. Hell, any QB will look good when most of the plays are called at the line of scrimmage after the coordinators up in the booth see what scheme the defense is in and then radio the play down to the field.
Don't you think you might have Shockley rated a little high? Isn't he only a little smarter than a rock? You are likely blinded by your enthusiasm for your Dawgs!
Brandon Cox I think is his name. Redshirt sophomore this past year I think.
From what I hear, Brandon Cox is pretty good. Also, Auburn still has running backs. UGA-Auburn will be a knock down, smash-mouth battle. Don't put it in your win column yet.
Brodie Croyle if healthy should be the best in the SEC with Leak from Florida a close 2nd. 3 - 5 is a toss up for me, Russel - LSU ; Shockley - Georgia and one no one has really mentioned but whom I like alot..Cutler ( i think thats his name) the kid from Vandy. He might play for a crappy team but hes definatly a good qb in my opinion.

There ya go!
Jay Cutler is coming back for his senior season. He may play for a sorry team, but I'll bet my bottom dollar that he will go pro.
The only team that needs to worry about Cutler is Ole Miss. They always have trouble with Vanderbilt.

Cutler is a serious QB and I was wondering why he didn't get mentioned.
Now honestly. Leak will have games of brillance, but he will also have games where the O-line will let him down. Those games where he is pressured, he falters enough to not be #1
Croyle is a good kid. With lots of talent. Potential #1. Big potential for injury. I see him hurt again after Game 4. I mean, it's happened to him Every Year. I hope not, I like this kid, I think he is a class act. But I think he's been banged up too much to not get injured, of corse Croyle at 50% was still better than any other UA QB this season.
Ainge. Another potential #1. He has a cannon. He is smart. and he will have a Full Year Plus of his nose in the playbook. He could be anywhere from 1 to 5 on the list depending on the O-line play this year. Ut is brining back experience at all positions, due to injuries this year, but losing Jason Respert and Michael Munoz this season is going to have an effect.
Russel - OK, I have to be honest... I haven't seen enough LSU Football to comment. I hear he is going to be the man from more than just LSU fans...
So if I were to list at the beggining of the season, I'd list them like this. Sorry LSU fans, I don't know enough about Russel, he is the mystery man, but I have heard enough to put him at 2
1 Croyle
2 Ainge
3 Leak
4 Russel
5 Cutler
People who think they know it all really annoy those of us who do.

Who's gonna have the better recieving corps next year, UGA or LSU? I would assume LSU since the Dawgs lost Brown and Gipson, but I'm not sure. I still think the list levels off pretty good after number 3. Cutler's damn good and I can't believe I forgot about him. He reminds me a little of Matt Jones. Not as lethal, but a more consistent passer.
Gotta love Cutler he plays for a sorry team but yet he is still able to showcase how good he really is. I cant believe yall forgot about him until I said something about him in my post lol
Apparentally they will. The thing is DJ that no one has seen enough of Shockley to know his full potential. He's had some good times and bad times playing behind Greene. As for ranking of the QB's I'm not even gonna give it a shot. It would be my luck that Kentucky would pull a star QB out of no where and make me look like a fool. However I will say that the SEC will be top notch in college football as far as the passing game goes this year. Think about it, Tennessee, Alabama, LSU, Florida, Vandy, and yes even Georgia will all have great starting QB's.

I may be a little prejudiced about Shockley. I only got one look at him live, and that was at LSU year-before-last when he came in for a few plays when Green got shaken up. The Tiger defense mauled and sacked him without pity. It was a sight to see. But, that was the defense that did the same thing to Oklahoma in the NC game later that year.
