HA! Yeah....I guess they did fool me. But a two-million+ dollar offer did seem preeeety high for Nutt. That, more than anything else, convinced me it was made up. Does anyone else think Nutt is worth 2 mil??? I don't.

Yeah, that's a leeeeetle bit high! Maybe 1.5 or thereabouts. Anyway, I hear Nutt loves his geographic environs in Fayetteville, has numerous kinfolks there, and wouldn't leave (intentionally) for any amount.

As for LSU, I never even heard his name mentioned, even in speculation.

Nutt only messed with LSU for about 24 hours. It made the wire though. Nutt wanted them to come at him like Nebraska did. He didn't want a lengthy interview process. They didn't want to narrow their search to only him, so he withdrew his name. And yes, $2 mil. is way too high for HDN! But I like Nutt, he's a good coach, great motivator and a good recruiter too.
