Nope, no matter how good orange and black would look any UT fan would tell you they have pride in the colors they get to wear and wouldn't change them if they could. Now I know I'm speaking for a lot of people but I'd say for the most part I'm right. Would you change the UGA uni's if you thought of something else?
I have to agree with everyone else. UT's orange and white is heritage, but at one time or another, you should evolve your scheme to match the times.
Personally, I think a black helmet with an orange "T" would look cool as hell.

you've got a point there DJ, orange and black would look pretty sweet.
That's true, but I do like the alternate unis I saw UT wearing this past season....something different with the shoulder pad area....a bit more white or something....I liked that more. Gave the unis a bit more character, imo.

Del, I think you said that Spurs was going to change USC's unis? That sucks....I thought the black on black was pretty cool looking. Do you have any info/photos on the new ones?

I liked the all black motif also.
We are going back to the white helmets on white jerseys.

I liked the black on black as well. A couple of notes, though. Number one, they were probably hot. I have wore black uniforms before. The heat just sits in them. Number two, probably a bit too drab for SS liking!!

What about the home unis? I would assume that it would be he garnet jerseys. Or is the white jersey going to be the home jersey as well like they do at LSU?
Check this out....Now tell me that isn't sharp? [fpic]http://img174.exs.cx/img174/9733/ut45tp.jpg[/fpic]
There has to be black elsewhere, no? I think the color contrast is cool, but you'd really have to change their entire unis to make it work. I guess you could use the alternate unis and change the large orange stripe to black (or divide it up into a few colors....like orange-black-white-black-orange). I don't know....without a complete overhaul, I can't see them moving away from what they have now.
Other than Georgia I'm going to have to go with LSU. They look sharp in their uniforms and I love tradition which is what their unis are. I think they would look even better with the old gold instead of that Packer yellow. I have been told that the old gold is too expensive so you just stick with regular yellow.
LSU used to wear old gold in the early 1950's. They switched to the current gold (actually sunflower gold) in 1957, I believe.
And that crack about Packer yellow is kinda funny coming from a fan of a team that wears the exact same helmet design in a different color scheme

There's no better place to celebrate a National Championship than New Orleans.
... and we've done it twice in five years !
