Kentucky UNC-Asheville C on UK v UT
D.J. Cunningham, the Bulldogs Center, said after the game last night on how Tennessee compares to Kentucky:

"Kentucky is much better by far and the sky is the limit, but Tennessee is still a top 10 team."

Maybe we should ask Cunningham's uncle Billy who he thinks is better between the teams. That way we have a second opinion that doesn't mean squat.
Still feelin' the pain from Saturday, I guess.

Right. The opinion of the headcoach of a common opponent doesn't mean "squat". Funny, his choice seems to be echoed by every other coach with a vote in the coaches' poll. Oh yeah, and the sportswriters. And the recruiting services. And...

Meh.....he's just salty cuz he knows it's time for the annual payback @$$whippin x2. He also said Georgia was better than Tennessee.

lol j/k about the Georgia part. But I guess his opinion that Tennessee is still a Top 10 doesn't matter either?

UNC-A players sure know their basketball.. . They have to be working on the worst scoring margin in ncaa history.

I'll take UT right now b/c of their experience.

It's just December, guys. There is plenty of time for yall to go in the tank and wind up on the NCAA tourney bubble yet again. As a great man once said, we're still Tennessee and yall are still Kentucky.

Well its true. That Tennessee teams has talent and big time experience. You have players that have beat the best team that coach Cal has ever coached. You have seniors in the back court instead of freshman. UT's team has guys that have been through the battles. They've played Memphis, Marquette, Georgetown, Kansas, Texas, Xavier, Butler, etc. I mean sure, Patrick Patterson has NIT experience, but its not quite the same. The UT team has had time to grow.

Very well, said. You should post more often in some of these basketball threads. We're in need of some informed input.

Tennessee hasn't played Kentucky this year last time I checked.....this is EASILY the most talented team he's coached, and it's not even up for debate.

And our backcourt is still the best in the nation. Imagine that. Our backcourt features the future #1 pick in the NBA draft. Because, you know...Carmelo Anthony was a freshman once too....but he didn't do anything The term "one and done" exists for a reason. Maybe you don't realize just how damn good Eric Bledsoe is...I'd think you would being from Alabama.

Our 2nd 5 have been through the battles, and yet the new talent we have is so damn good, they don't start. I wonder why.....all that "experience" UT has includes 2 ass whippings at the hands of Kentucky last year. They're simply more experience this year. We're infinitely better than last year.

We handle Calipari's system (if he can be said to have one) pretty well.

We'll see about that. Clearly, you've missed the Wall to Cousins/Patterson/Orton nastiness that's been goin on. You've also missed we're not using his dribble drive nearly as much as he has in the past right now because of our size advantage inside. Who you got that's gonna stop our big men? We've got 3 NBA big men down low and 2 NBA guards getting 'em the ball. You've got what, one draft pick?

You know it hurts me to give UT credit.

UK may have more talent, but right now i believe UT probably has the better team. Being a "team" and having that togetherness(not like the UT bball players who were doing crack together ) goes a long way.
