Yes, we did. We deserved to get beat. Out played and out hustled all night by Rider. Never led at any point of the 2nd half. Absolute shame.

Dang. I came in because I knew the answer but now I can see the thread title is actually rhetorical. Nevermind.

Haha it's okay. Honestly, I didn't mean for it to be a joke at first. I checked Yahoo Sports and it said Rider won but Yahoo is always screwing up the scores and stats to games so I figured maybe they messed up. Anyways, I double-checked at ESPN and found the same thing...yeesh...tough loss Dogs. Y'all are really gonna have to impress in the remainder of your OOC schedule to erase this one from memory.

I'm not sure why you'd enjoy MSU losing in basketball tonight. The SEC experienced a down year last year (only getting 3 teams into the NCAAT), and we are expected to be much stronger this year. However, if we, as a conference, continue to lose OOC games like this, it won't help us get more teams in the NCAA. As with football, I want the SEC to win all of our OOC games if possible, and for the SEC to be considered a strong conference in basketball as well as football.

It really just depends on what mood I'm in. I'm on edge watching the Lakers right now.

Somehow I don't think the conference keeps all its basketball eggs in the State basket.

is this an upset..absolutely. But honestly rider isn't a cupcake they play in the maac which is historically one of the better mid major conferences with success in the tourny ( Siena, Manhattan). they also had a lottery NBA draft pick 2 years ago (jason thompson sacramento kings). It isn't like losing to Gardner Webb. BTW kentucky fans you will see this Rider team in a few days in rupp.

effing "randy" b. stewart 2-10....again.....what a puss. stans is hard to figure out. he can have talent, but hes always had trouble finding the right chemistry on the court. he usually doesnt get it right until game 12 or so, so i anticipate at least 3-4 more loses before sec play. we will still win the west, but this start sucks ballz.
