the sidney thing is one of those things that i was just ignoring most news coming out because it wasnt looking good and the wheels just seemed to keep spinning....but when you start to have credible sources starting to report that it MAY happen, thats encouraging. i went from 95% chance he wont make it to about 55-60% him not playing. well see.

I still don't see it happening. The NCAA has been asking for financial records from the Sidney camp for months, and through their lawyer they have refused to provide that information. I'd say the reason for that is pretty self explanatory. If it was a court case, it would have been finished a long time ago IMO...

The documents they really wanted were tax filings for the two years in LA, and those have still not been provided from Sidney. Sidney and his parents were living well beyond their means and their respective salaries and thus you can make your own deductions for yourselves.

I still don't expect Sidney to play this season but if he does, he will miss the majority of the season...

they were asking for bank statements...he finally provided deposit information for the last 2 years i think...either way, he is a lot closer than i ever thought he would be...

Agree to disagree. The NCAA might have been asking for those as well but what they were really looking for was the tax filings. If they didn't contain damaging info why hasn't it been submitted to the NCAA? Sidney, in general, has been extremely uncooperative with NCAA since Day 1.

This whole ordeal definitely should've been settled a long time ago. How long did the John Wall "saga" take? A few months at best. This has been going on for a while now w/Sidney.

Well if he is cleared and is able to play it only makes MSU stronger and gives us a better chance for an SEC titel and good run in the NCAA GO DAWGS
