I dont see how Kentucky is ranked so high! They did ok last year...nothing real special. Did they even make it to the big dance last year? I know they got a heck of a recruiting class, but they are still freshman and have a new coach and system to learn. But #5??? Too much hype for them!! Im calling bust this year for them!

UK went to the NIT last year......

Patiently waiting for PT to return telling you how great UK will be, that they have the greatest coach, and that you have no right to even breathe such nonsense about UK hoops.

Where the *(#& have you been all offseason HogFan? We're starting 3 NBA first round draft picks for next year's draft.

At this point, I'm done arguing or explaining why Kentucky is going to be so damn good this year. Look, we're Kentucky, we're back, get over it. No amount of griping on a message board is going to change the fact that we're going to steamroll [insert your team here] into the ground this season.

You know what....I'm still pissed about this. Asking why Kentucky is so hyped up this season in basketball is as effing stupid as asking why Florida or Alabama were supposed to be so good in football this year. It just is. live with it.

It didn't take the NCAA very long to resolve the John Wall issue....this Sidney thing should've been cleared up by now.

yeah but we are miss state, we arent one of the "money makers" so they come down harder on us...reik's suspension not including the exhibition whereas others do, etc...

GO DAWGS!!!

It has nothing to do with being a "money maker". Reik's case was exponentially different from Wall's and the comparisons are tired at this point.

Agree Cianne.

If you went to UK during the Coach Rupp and Hall periods and were affiliated with the program, you learned one lesson 1st and foremost...Humble in victory and gracious in defeat. It bothers me a great deal as someone from that era to see posters who say they are UK people to be talking trash and bragging. That is not UK.

If you would like to compare apples to apples with a "money maker" look at the Randolph Morris situation. He declared for the draft and tried out for several teams then had to payback the $7,000 or so the teams spent and sit out 14 games. A suspension that was reduced from an entire season. How's that for special treatment?

And if State fans are going to continue to make snide comments about the Wall situation to make incorrect points about their own players at least try to get the facts right. Exhibition games didn't "count". He was specifically suspended for one exhibition game AND one regular season game. That's why he missed the first exhibition game but played in the second and will now miss the first regular season game. Got it? Good!
