Well obviously only one year in the kid could have a big upside but I'm hoping he considers the year he will sit a chance to get his academics in order. If not, I'd rather him go elsewhere. Was there a problem meshing with the staff? Do you know where this decision comes from?

Stayed injured, could never put on enough weight to get on the court and play inside, and now academically ineligible. I'd be amazed if UK felt like they needed Vargas.

That's the thing he wouldn't even start on UF... how the hell could he expect to start over UK's forward... I forget his name but he's ridiculous

No kidding. Man, if he thinks he never played at UF, he's in for a big surprise at UK... he'd be the towel boy by mid-season. I guess he could add weight and whatnot during his year of sitting out; but by all indications at UF, he just can't put it on, and he's as fragile as glass.

If he transfers to Kentucky, then his academic issues will become clear : he's an idiot.

Billy D has been making me nervous the last couple years. We've had a lot of transfers, little success, and it seems like everyone on the court is playing out of position.

something in this kid and offers him a scholly, then i'm
on board with that.

Most of the Gator fans on here and elsewhere aren't too enamored w/him. Like you guys said above....he wouldn't even start at Florida. Why the hell are we even looking at this guy? Walk-on, we'll talk.
