SEC Basketball Talk
Talk about SEC Basketball here!
Make sure when you sign up to use your "exact" SEC Talk ID for your bracket so we can identify who is participating. We'll need to correlate the entry on Yahoo with your user ID on here for the prizes.
There are a couple of choices to use for accumulating points. I liked the "progressive" scoring vs. the default Yahoo scoring, so that's what I set it at. The progressive scoring gives 1 point for the 1st round, 2 points for the 2nd round, 3 points for the 3rd round, 4 points for the 4th round, 5 points for the semis, and 6 points for the Championship. I can change it prior to the NCAAT if the preference is something else.
First place winner will receive a Fathead of your choice provided by our friends at Sports Shop: Reggie Bush, Brian Urlacher, Michael Redd, Manny Ramirez (Dodgers), Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson, Jonathan Vilma (Jets), Shaun Alexander (Seahawks), Roy Williams WR (Lions) & Jason Taylor (Dolphins). Ties will be broken by postcount.
No idea, but if their bracket doesn't match anyone on here when the tournament is over, there's no way to get them their prize. I would assume Benny would award it to the 2nd place winner. He'll make that decision.
There is a hawgheaven7 registered, but I don't know if that's the same one or not.
For those of you that plan on participating, let me know your preference on the scoring system to use. As I mentioned, I like the progressive scoring (and have tentatively set it up using the progressive system). The progressive scoring gives a little more credit for correct picks in the later rounds (more than the straight scoring), but not too much (less than the Yahoo default scoring). However, I'll set it up based on the majority choice. It can be changed up to the time the brackets close.
Here's the three choices you should consider. If I get little feedback, I'll leave it as progressive scoring.
