Default Washington will upset USC this Saturday...
...sez the fiancee

We'll see. She's been callin' it since Monday.

Have to admit, USC better be careful with this one. The Trojans are coming off an emotional win at Ohio STate, starting a backup QB early in the season, hostile road environment, against a revitalized UW program under a fiery coach who could certainly motivate his team to play above their ability, not to mention he knows Pete Carroll like the back of his hand.

Watch out.
MIRACLES HAPPEN!

And if Washington does lose to USC I will take the blame for jinxing her prediction with this thread

I actually think this could turn into a trap game for SC, could just be wishful thinking though...

Being from Seattle, and have had family go there; I've always rooted for UDub, but your fiancee is HIGH. I have high hopes, realistic expectations. If UDub can pull off 3 wins, it's a success. Miles was sandbagging, that's obvious, but I did see a much improved team.

Of course, I'm rooting for UDub, and never for 'SC, Oregon, or Wazzu...

To me, that would be like rooting for UGA, Miami, and FSU (and for the last few decades Tennessee.)

I like Washington and I hope they win a bunch of games this year, but I am afraid the fence will be concrete when they get to USC. You never know and crazier things have happened, but I think USC will make it clear that although Washinton has improved, the Trojans will still take the game. I will be pulling for Washington! HARD!

It'll be interesting to see how Corp does at qb for USCw. I mean, he's coming off an injury as well. Maybe Mustain will see some action, at somewhere other than punter.

I'm with your fiance on this one UAdan...I think Washington has a shot in this one. They played LSU really hard and seem to be a changed team from last season.

I think Washington will keep it interesting for the first quarter or two, but Southern Cal will end up winning by at least 10.

I have to also agree with your fiancé on this one. Nobody aside from the USC coaches know that offense better than Steve Sarkisian. USC is coming off a big win against OSU and starting their backup QB. I'll def take the points on this one.

Jake Locker and Chris Polk are the real deal; it could happen. I definitely don't think USC will cover a 19 point spread in the betting. If the Huskies could pull it off, it would make us folks at LSU feel a little better.

Yeah and if it happens all the talking heads will start talking about how LSU's win over Washington was so impressive ignoring the fact that USC is starting their #2 QB. It will make Washington and thus LSU look a lot better than they probably are. For once, I'm pulling for USC to win just so I don't have to hear that garbage for the next month.
