#1 seed Florida, #4 seed Alabama, and #6 seed Georgia will all make the trip to represent the SEC at the 2009 Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City. Each team swept their opponent in just 2 games. UF beat #14 Cal 2-0 and 2-1, Bama beat Jacksonville State 9-0 and 9-0, and UGA beat #11 Ohio State 6-4 and 7-6.

They'll be joined at the WCWS by #3 Washington, #6 Arizona, #7 Michigan, #9 Arizona State, and the winner of the #2 UCLA and #12 Missouri series, which will likely be tied and going to a 3rd game this evening.

The SEC will be looking for its first ever National Championship in softball. Florida came within a single game of playing for it all last year, after digging out of the loser's bracket. The Pac-10 has owned it, with 20 total National Championships since it started in 1982.

Congrats to all the teams; and good luck in finally getting us a NC.

I'll be pulling for our Lady Tide, looking to make a little noise this year. Either way, the SEC has a great shot to win a National Championship!

They definitely do; and it just got a little better yesterday when #12 Mizzou upset and knocked out #2 UCLA for the last spot.

I think Florida has the best shot, but there is no doubt all three of these teams are capable of winning it all. I'll be pulling for all three! Make the SEC proud with another national championship. Hats off to the Lady Gators, the Lady Tide and the Lady Bulldawgs on a great season!

That was certainly great news, no doubt about that!

Florida definitely has the best chance but I'd like to think Alabama has a great chance too. Kelsi Dunne pitched two no hitters against Jacksonville State and our bats along with speed are very dangerous. I realize it was J-state but it's still a great accomplishment given that it's the first time it's ever happened two straight games in the NCAA Tourny.

The Lady Tide have an explosive offense as well to go with Dunne. Heck! Larson, Holcombe and Morgan can crush a softball for sure.
