Anybody else watching it? Roddick vs Federer.

(7-5) (6-7) (6-7) and 5-2 roddick right now. Roddick had a chance to go up the first 2 sets but blew it in the tie breaker. Roddick is making a comeback now.

It's on NBC. Roddick won the 4th set 6-3.

Federer absolutely owns Roddick, but not today. GREAT MATCH!

Federer finally wins! Tough for Roddick who played brilliantly today. I think it ended 15-13 in the 5th.

There's no telling how many Grand Slams Roddick might have, if there was no Federer. Instead, he only has one. Great match today.

What a match. That was like watching one of Agassi and Sampras in their prime.

Roddick played a tremendous match. It is hard to lose these type matches when looking back he should have won in 4 sets, up 6-2 in the second set tie breaker and let it slip away. He had a volley at the net at 6-5 that he should have made to win the set. Somehow Federer seems to find the point that he need in the close matches.

Why not us?? South Carolina, 2010 SEC EAST CHAMPIONS!

I was watching part of the 5th set and was amazed at how good Roddick was playing. Usually he makes mental mistakes and it kills him, but today he was on. Great match.

I'm so pissed. I hate Federer. Roddick is my boy and he should've won.

Great match today. Good for the Swiss. Roddick will start winning against Federer and Nadal if he starts playing like this all the time.

If Roddick would have closed out the second set then we wouldn't have seen that great 5th set. Both guys serves were just about as perfect as it gets and even 4 hours into the match the opponent couldn't break the other's serve. It was truly a great match and great for the game of tennis. However, America needed that victory. I really feel bad for Arod because even though he lost, that was the best tennis I've ever seen him play. His backhand was awesome today. Hopefully this level of play continues for him and we have some great matches between him, Federer, and Nadal in the near future.

I've come to the conclusion that Roddick lost it instead of Federer winning it. I hate playing the "what if" game but that's what this match was. Roddick had about 10+ chances after the 1st set to put him away but couldn't. He flopped. Hard court is his best surface and Federer hates it. Nadal is banged up, he beat Murray, Djokovic is overrated, and Roddick is playing the best tennis of his life. If he doesn't win the US Open then he'll never win another major. Even if that happens he's still a hall of famer.

Sampras is still the best, imo.

As long as Federer and Nedal are alive, its almost never going to be in the books for Roddick to win another Grand Slam event ever again. Its almost not fair how good those 2 are. It makes me not even want to watch much tennis anymore. America needs a young up and coming star with the speed and power of Nedal. Roddick lives off his powerful first serve and thats pretty much it. Federer plays much smarter tennis than him and Nedal is faster and more powerful than him.

All this being said I am indeed a huge Andy Roddick fan. Federer (as usual) just managed to stay one step ahead.
