With their win tonight and Vancouver's loss, Nashville has secured a playoff spot. And to think they lost to the worst team in the league just a couple of weeks ago. Tonight was the last home game of the regular season and also a huge game. Facing our arch nemesis the St. Louis Blues who had just a few season ago stood in our way of making the POs. But tonight we were the big boys. They, getting to watch from the outside. Even with perennial and ex-Pred Paul Kariya on their roster they couldn't get it done. And with 4 1/2 minutes left in the third with the game tied at two a 5 minute standing ovation erupted during a tv timeout. And it lifted the spirits of the players and helped them to a 3-2 victory.

It looks like the Preds' days are numbered in the playoffs; Detroit lead 2-0 heading to Nashville for game 3.

Yes, thanks for the update.

I'd rather them make the playoffs and get swept instead of getting left out. But that is beside the point.

And Deeeetroit is up 2-0 in this series with a little help from the zebras. But that is also beside the point.

Hopefully I can make it to Wednesdays game.
