Saw this on ESPN.

What does indisputable evidence really mean? - SEC - ESPN

Again, I ask: What is indisputable evidence?

The replay official in the Auburn-Ole Miss game overturned a batted interception on the field in the second quarter and ruled that the ball hit the ground before Ole Miss’ Jonathan Cornell secured it.

Perhaps the replay official had the luxury of different angles than we did at home, but I saw nothing in the replays shown on television that would come close to rising to the level of being indisputable.

Put it this way: If that play was indisputable, how in the world was Dustin Doe’s interception return not overturned last week when replays in the Florida-Mississippi State game showed that the ball was clearly out of his hands before he crossed the goal line?

Obviously, there are different versions of what’s indisputable.

For what it's worth, I did not see any angle that showed me irrefutable evidence that the batted ball touched the ground. It looked like it might have touched the ground but I could not say with 100% certainty that it did.

None of angles showed it. Thats not to say it didn't but the call shouldn't have been reversed IMO.

I agree that it probably did hit the ground, but it was called an interception on the field so I don't know how it could be reversed.

I was more surprised they gave AU the fumble when the player recovering had half his body out of bounds.

Apparently indisputable means whatever the refs say and if you disagree you get suspended.

indisputable evidence means absolutley nothing...however, it can translate to: you are probably about to be screwed...but without the romantic dinner that usually precedes the aforementioned screw.

I don't think they have any idea what indisputable evidence means.... they are getting very adept at proving THAT, it seems....

From what I understand the replay officials don't see the same replays you do on tv. Totally separate cameras. They don't want them infuenced by the announcers. They could very well have a different angle than what we saw.

I agree. If replay can't get it right then why even bother?

I'm pretty sure they have the same angles minus the commentary.

I'm actually at a loss for word at HOW several calls were viewed in the booth. I've personally sat in the booth in a "lesser conference" and seen first-hand how it works, the discussions that are held, and the rules and how they're SUPPOSED to be enforced.....bottom line: SEC officials are crooked! and Yes, I will go on record as having said that....there's no other way around it.

Now, I don't feel that (as a Rebel fan) the outcome of the game hinged on these calls and am not whining that they did.....but, something MUST be done about this good ole boys club known as SEC officiating......they've been proven time and time again as the worst in the entire nation. Change MUST come........

T Reb i will the first to fine and suspend you for criticizing the officials. As an Auburn fan i was supprised that the call was overturned even though i don't think the game hinged on that play.
