Olemiss Dan Jones announced as Chancellor
How do you think this will affect Ole Miss athletics? From the article on Scout.com it seems like he really likes athletics and knows that successful athletics and successful universities seem to go hand-in-hand.

I am also interested to see how he responds to controversial issues like Col Reb and Dixie

I hope this is the start of a long and successful tenure for Dr. Jones

They're never coming back so it's not really worth a response. He isn't going to dismantle what Chancellor Khayat put into place.

I hope that he turns out to be great. I would hate to be the man tasked with following Chancellor Khayat but hopefully he's up to the task.

Colonel Reb may not come back, but Dixie hasn't been taken away just debated about that's more what I was talking about. I wonder how politically correct he is.

He did make it clear that he was not RK

In regards to Dixie, I think you'll see the same system in place where it won't be played during the regulation time period of games but continued afterwards. Of course, that all depends on the students ability to shutup during slow Dixie after the game and not chant TSWRA.

Yeah, that's probably not going to happen... and I would like to point out something I figured out at the LSU game and the Cotton Bowl, it's not just the students anymore, not even close.

Not saying TSWRA is necessarily right but the "I'm protesting the administration removing my mascot" arguement isn't losing any steam

I prefer R-E-B-E-L-S. A few of us seniors this past year used this and it worked pretty nicely. Good luck, however, getting anyone else involved.
