Default Rebel Tennis moves up to #3
Was a big weekend for Coach Chadwick and his team as he knocked off two top 5 teams in Georgia (4-3 *really 4-2 but they allowed #1 singles to continue after the match was decided) and Tennessee (crushed 6-1 with the only loss coming at #4 singles).

Rebel Netters Up To No. 3 In Nation - OleMissSports.com—Official Web Site of University of Mississippi Athletics

OXFORD, Miss. – Following a huge weekend in which the Ole Miss men’s tennis team defeated top-five foes Georgia and Tennessee, the Rebels jumped up to No. 3 in the latest Campbell/ITA National Rankings released Tuesday.

The SEC leads the nation with four teams in the top five and eight in the Top 25. Virginia remained at No. 1 followed by Stanford, Ole Miss, Georgia and Ohio State. The rest of the top 10 includes Tennessee, Illinois, Florida, UCLA and Texas.

The Rebels (10-2, 2-0) are back in the top five in the national rankings for the first time since April 28 of the 2008 season, when they were ranked No. 4.

The schedule doesn’t get any easier for the Rebels, as they face No. 23 Alabama Friday at 2 p.m. in Tuscaloosa, followed by a match at No. 20 Auburn Sunday at 1 p.m.
