The fourth public commitment for the Rebels came forward today as 3-star CB from Florida, Cliff Coleman, announced his intentions to sign with Ole Miss in February. Coleman will look to make an immediate impact in a secondary that will be graduating both senior starters this year. He picked the Rebels over his #2 school Florida State and had offers from South Carolina, Tennessee, Oregon, Miami, Louisville, and West Virginia (depending on which site you believe).
On another note about Brishen Mathews, Andy Hodges of Hog Country in Arkansas said that it is believed by some of the high school coaches around the state that Mathews is actually better than last year's 5-star CB Darius Winston.
Very nice pick ups this week.. I been hearing alot of Scrutiny about Nutt's recruiting style from opposing fans but watch even with 21 Signees in this class we will still have a top 25 Class and it will be better than O's best class.
FWIW
Clarence Jackson is on the ESPN150 Watch list
Randall Mackey should be a 5 Star by years end (JuCo AA prolly)
& The other two DBs are mighty impressive
I rather not fill our class like most schools and then not be able to take better prospects later.
I imagine they plan on using guys like Scott and Neat in the slot and not as pure RBs but who knows. Between Blue, Parker, and Wells, I don't think you can go wrong though Wells will end up in the secondary if he comes.
By one spot for Highly touted RB I mean like a Michael Dyer and sure enough we get a visit... If I was Nutt I would pop in the DMac/Felix highlight tapes and don't mention the platoon of RBs we have...
Seriously though I never suspected that we were in on Dyer
I would be kind of pissed if this season is very special with high BCS or NC implications and the class be full by time January rolls around
ark fans joke about everything Ole Miss but don't let them worry ya about those pants. I joked about them too. Those things are famous now and could be sold on ebay. If he washes them he won't have to sell them in the adult section of ebay. Reb chuck is all Ole Miss home boy and nobody could have made those pants as famous as he did!
You know, when I first signed on Chuck was one of the ones I most liked to read.Chuck, put on the red pants and come back.
I wonder why Brishen Mathews inst a 4 Star yet... Kid can ball and many say he is probably better than Winston.. I'd be pretty happy if we landed Tony Grimes to go with Kellam Eric Mitchell and Mathews thats a pretty good DB class for 2010
5'11" speedster Quadarias Mireles out of Delray Beach, FL committed to Ole Miss today as they look to replace Dexter McCluster's speed in the slot position.

I like this commit, he could also end up playing on defense here aswell.
