I think Ole Miss will win. LSU has shown a tendency under Miles to really let down once their conference title dreams are dashed. Ole Miss is playing with a lot of confidence now. I am wondering if LSU can muster up the pride to come to Oxford and play hard for four quarters and get a win.

My gut says something like Ole Miss 24, LSU 20. It will be close. Winner finishes second in the SEC West and could punch their ticket to Orlando for the Capital One Bowl.

Very perceptive. I think you are right, unfortunately.

Spot on Dan, I read today that the rep for the Capital One Bowl has strongly hinted that the winner of this game will be in the bowl.

No offense to LSU, Geaux, it just seems that it's been that way for the last few years.

Last year, they lose the West to Bama, show up flat against Troy and then get beat by Ole Miss. This year they lose the West to Bama, show up flat against La. Tech, and...well, you get my point. Even when LSU had clinched the West in 2007 they didn't show up to play against Arkansas and lost. I dunno...I think Miles is a great big-game coach but when his teams don't have anything but pride to play for, LSU seems to slack a little. Not to question the heart and desire of the LSU players but I just get the vibe that Ole Miss wants this game more. Maybe LSU will prove me wrong because there are still big bowl implications on the line, not to mention 10-2 sounds a lot better than 9-3.

Yep, it would be the most likely scenario since Alabama and Florida will likely occupy two of the BCS slots. The next-highest SEC team gets the Capital One Bowl on New Year's Day, which is a pretty good bowl game when you think about it. It's not like Tennessee or anyone from the East is going to get that over LSU or OM as of now.

I say winner goes to the Capital One Bowl and the loser probably ends up in Dallas for the Cotton Bowl.

Iowa or Penn State. They are fighting for second place in the Big Ten.

The opportunity to watch Ole Miss go up against Joe Pa would be one I would relish. Which means it won't happen

Sadly it won't happen. It would take an Iowa loss to Minnesota to make it happen and as bad as Iowa is I don't think they're THAT bad.

Yea, Iowa isn't as great, but they have proved in the postseason to be very good at beating the SEC.

This is a tough game to pick. Will McCluster show up like he did against Auburn and Tennessee or will it be the McCluster against USC, Bama, and Vandy?
