Default Texans vs. Jaguars
Well, the Falcons got embarrassed today, but we have a good game on CBS. The Texans just kicked a FG to tie it up with :01 remaining in regulation. Heading to OT.

Well, a win is a win. 30-27 Jags win. Our defense is missing something. We had a lot of inactives on defense today, but that was ridiculous.

Did Quentin Groves make an impact at all today?

No, but he played a lot. His a liability against the run, so he really only plays on passing downs.

They looked like the carolina of 03 today. I wouldn't say you were embarrassed. The falcons are a solid team, I just really think the panthers have a legitmate case for the superbowl this year. So many offensive and defensive weapons. (If only the OLine can stay healthy )

Congrats to the Jags on the win!! That was a GREAT game to watch!! It's nice to see at least ONE of my football teams show some heart! That said, how many times does Garrard have to scramble for a big gain before you make an adjustment and put a spy on him??

And I know this has been discussed 100 times before, but NFL overtime sucks DOG!! It's absolutely criminal for a game to be decided by a coin flip!!
Phyllis-But it is a big deal. You almost killed Stanley.
Dwight-Yeah right! I filled him full of butter and sugar for 50 years and forced him not to exercise!

Yeah basically whoever won the toss was going to win the game, neither defenses were doing anything.

Like you said, haven't we discussed this before?

The team that lost the coin toss has won more OT games than the team that won the coin toss.

Yes, we HAVE discussed this before and just like last time, you are STILL wrong!! http://voices.washingtonpost.com/nfl...nresolved.html

ALL TIME the percentage is only 52% (and you can find that in several places), but as the author says, in recent years the percentage of teams that win after winning the coin toss is up over 60%. I've yet to hear an intelligible argument to defend this.

I'm not taking ANYTHING away from the Jags and their win...hell, we had you guys on 3rd and long and 4th and long several times in the 4th quarter and couldn't make one stinking play! The Texans have noone to blame but themselves for letting this one slip away. BUT, for every overtime game I see, I am ALWAYS reminded of what a bunch of crap it is!
