I couldnt find it on TV but I watched the playbyplay on ESPN haha. How did the Nats tie it up an "infield single to the pitcher" with the bases loaded? Did it hit off of his body or something?

Bases were loaded and the batter hit a rocket grounder straight at the mound. Gonzalez falls off to the right side of the mound at the end of his delivery, so his back was facing towards first base. In an effort to grab the ball, he threw his glove up behind him, and miraculously deflected the ball... unfortunately the ball got deflected right over near the Braves dugout instead of to anybody who could field it... however it seems that the ball would have gone into the outfield had he not got a glove on it, so he may have saved a run from scoring.
SWEEEEEP!!! Bravos take all 3 games from the Gnats, to go to 5-1 overall and tied atop the NL East with Florida, who comes to the Ted on Tuesday for a 3 game series.
Offense continues to impress, and the bullpen even got the job done today. Going to be a real test for our starting pitching when the Fish come to town, they are hitting very well right now.
I'm excited to see what happens this week. I've heard several quotes from guys like Peter Gammons who say that Bobby Cox told them that the Marlins have the best starting rotation in baseball this season.

We won't be facing either Johnson or Nolasco this week though, so that's an advantage for us.

Exactly. I heard them tallking about this in today's broadcast. We'll miss probably their best two starters. Hopefully, we can at least take 2 of 3 from the Marlins this week.
I felt pretty good about this last series with the Nats, glad we got the sweep!
I feel like we're going to come in and take at least 2 of 3 from the marlins, but I'd like to get all of 'em to start the season. Our bullpen did better yesterday, Soriano came in and got the job done well in the 9th, and our lineup is 200% better than it was last year...
Speaking of Soriano, I'm beginning to think I'd like to see him as the closer and Gonzo as the setup man. Soriano just looked outstanding today, and I haven't seen a quick 1-2-3 outing out of Gonzo yet. Anybody else?
Glavine will miss his scheduled first start against the Pirates on Saturday after experiencing some discomfort in his shoulder in his last outing in double A. No idea if this is long term bad news for him or not, he is visiting Dr. James Andrews today. In the meantime the Braves are going to bring up Jo Jo Reyes to start Saturday.... UGH. Just bring up Hanson already... good god, do we have to resign ourselves to a loss just because we don't want to pay Hanson?
