Ex-LSU infielder Todd Walker chosen to college baseball shrine
Former LSU second baseman Todd Walker was among 10 players and coaches comprising the 2009 National College Baseball Hall of Fame induction class. Walker played for the Tigers from 1992-94 and was a two-time, first-team All-American. Arguably one of the greatest position players in LSU history, he was named All-SEC three times and in 1993 was named Most Outstanding Player at the College World Series. He also was named to the Omaha (Neb.) World-Herald’s all-time CWS team. The 2009 inductees will be honored on July 3 as part of the College Baseball Foundation’s annual celebration in Lubbock, Texas. |
