Former LSU second baseman Todd Walker was among 10 players and coaches comprising the 2009 National College Baseball Hall of Fame induction class. Walker played for the Tigers from 1992-94 and was a two-time, first-team All-American. Arguably one of the greatest position players in LSU history, he was named All-SEC three times and in 1993 was named Most Outstanding Player at the College World Series. He also was named to the Omaha (Neb.) World-Herald’s all-time CWS team. The 2009 inductees will be honored on July 3 as part of the College Baseball Foundation’s annual celebration in Lubbock, Texas.
