Default Yankees sign another
This is getting ridiculous. Are the Yankees the only major league team with money?

The Yankees have got the power. No other team stands a chance if they decide they want somebody. The Yankees control the scene, and the salaries are WAY out of control, imo.

Great signing if you hate the Yankees. The Yankees already have 3 1st baseman in waiting. Posada, Jeter, and ARod in that order.

As for Burnett, he has been on the DL every year of his career. CC has an out after 3 years and he is only going to at best equal Mussina's 20 wins last year.

I think Obama needs to make legislation to make baseball more fair. I agree with Paradox though, the Yankees just spend tons of money on stars and lately they have not had the greatest team. I would not be surprised to see even CC fail badly in New York. The Yankees had their great stretch with many players raised in their own system. Ever since they have traded away their farm system and spent huge money on stars it has not worked out for them. I hope that trend continues.
