Though I feel good about the direction of our football program, the State fan in me is always ready for Basketball season. The SEC is going to be much, much stronger this year but we ain't scared. Watch these highlights.. especially from Game 1..

Who's in your rotation?

1: Dee Bost
2: Barry Stewart
3: Ravern Johnson
4: Kodi Augustus
5: Jarvis Varnado

with
Turner/Stewart backing up Bost
Turner/Benock backing up Stewart
Romero Osby coming in at 3 and 4
Elgin Bailey (if healthy) coming into the post
John Riek (once eligible) spotting Jarvis

We're going to be deep once again and very good defensively. We're also going to scorch your nets from beyond the arc all season just like last year.
Maybe not.

i like your lineup......i find myself including augustus, but i think i do it just to appease him. osby arguably has more talent, but im cool with whatever stans wants to do. we are so deep, there wont be much drop off between our starters and backups, so im sure we can make everybody happy. barry has the least amount of talent imo, but he seems to always get his, even if its a bit sloppy or if he is overmatched. turner has alot of heart and hustle so i think we are very even keeled overall.

i like the line up but i dont think osby has more talent than augustus...kodi is better on offense and osby plays better defense...bailey might not play all year from what i have heard...reik will be a good sub for varnado....

GO DAWGS!!!

Ha true story. But i think it will really depend on who we are playing. if we are playing a team with some good big men then i say we play 3 guards but if we are playing someone who JV can handle himself i like the 4 guards. Phil Turner is a beast for real. I think we can finish in the top 10 this year.

i think we need to set the tempo early and really assert ourself in the first 10-15 games. we need to build some confidence. i would like to go with the 3 guard myself. we need some boards and augustus and osby can help with that.

phil turner was the heart and soul of the team last year and i dont see that changing...he is the man...but just not as all around talented as the starting 5 even though i would make a push for him to play of ravern some...ravern gets lazy as crap on defense and never makes his own shot...

GO DAWGS!!!

I have to disagree on that, Ravern could pull up on most guards. He can create his own shot as good as anyone on the team. He was the star imo.
