| I think it came from the political heads in Jackson. I'm pretty apathetic about this and so are many other USM fans. Actually you will find few true USM fans who wanted this to happen in the first place. Nothing against MSU, but I would rather continue getting Kansas, Cal, Nebraska, Louisville, Virginia, etc to come to Hattiesburg. Guess it's time to suit up and play. | ||

| i didnt want it but like ive said, we have a losing record with the 2 forfeits so at least its a chance to get even....hell, ill take usm over houston any day. seems like we have scheduling blunders every year now. its ok guys, big friggin deal, we have to go to hattiesburg. couldnt be worse than our trip to ruston. if we cant win we dont deserve it, so lets play lil brother down south for two years, and lets put this one back in the vault for another 20-30 yrs. | ||

| Honestly, I won't mind it two years from now as long as Southern is the marquee OOC opponent. I just don't like having to play two Top 25-ish teams on top of a pretty competitive non-BCS school and just one creampuff. I imagine our situation will be a lot better by then anyway. | ||

| If it was my choice USM and OM would be playing this Saturday... As a whole team perspective i would say no don't do it. But my best bud is a southern fan, and he seriously(no really, dead serious) says USM would beat Ole Miss and doesn't care if it's the SEC and doesn't think the talent level is any different. He actually believes that Southern is just as good and says he thinks they would win. You want to find someone who thinks USM is a world beater? This guy is him. It sickens me because he just doesn't understand.. But eh its no big deal i guess lol. | ||
