Default Who would be your starting lineup for the first game for MSU?
Who do you guys think will be MSU's starting lineup for the first game, including incoming freshmen?
Mine would be:
QB: Tyson Lee first half, Russell the second half.
RB: Anthony Dixon
WR: Leon Berry
WR: Delmon Robinson
WR: Chad Bumphis
TE: Brandon Henderson
OL: Derek Sherrod
Quentin Salusbury
J.C. Brigone
Tobias Smith
Craig Jenkins

DL: Pernell McPhee
Trevor Stigers
Lamarcus Williams
Sean Ferguson
LB: Jamar Chaney
K.J. Wright
Chris White
CB: Marcus Washington
Damien Anderson
FS: Charles Mitchell
SS: Zach Smith

K: Shawn Brauchle
P: Heath Hutchins
KR: Chad Bumphis
Delmon Robinson
PR: Chad Bumphis

I would start others like Green at TE, or McRae at WR, but both of those guys are coming off injury and how many times have you seen guys like that get hurt in the first game of the season because they tried to rush back. Same with Elliot at RB. I wouldn't risk injuring any of those guys against Jackson St. We should be able to handle them without risking injury to those guys. I can't wait till football season, I just wanted to hear who ya'll would start.

McPhee is moving inside. Green and McRae both will be back to 100%. Also the QB's in that order.

i agree with 007 except i might put davis in before robinson...he looks a little shiftier in the slot but robinson and davis are pretty much the same to me...the only other position i might look at is the DE opposite of ferguson...mccardell is raw from what ive heard...stigers is on the rise too supposedly...

GO DAWGS!!!

West I was going off of what I have seen in practice. I k ow it was early but Davis dropped A LOT of balls. I think him Robinson Bumphis and Sanders will rotate that spot. And I have no agruement with any of those 4 starting at that spot!

yeah well i was just going off what i saw in the spring game...wasnt he on top of the depth chart after spring??...i cant seem to open it right now...but i pretty much am fine with the "by committee" with WR because honestly i think all the freshman along with mcrae, davis, robinson, berry and wilder are a HUGE upgrade from what we have had in the past...

GO DAWGS!!!

Exactly and the sleeper of them all could be Banks. The guy is big and fast and very physical from what i have seen and heard. Heavens is also a guy that could make a impact as well. He has good speed and good hands.

I've got:

QB - Tyson Lee/Chris Relf
HB - Anthony Dixon/Christian Ducre/Robert Elliot/Arnil Stallworth
TE - Marcus Green
X - Brandon McRae/Leon Berry
H - Terrance Davis/Delmon Robinson/Chad Bumphis
Z - O'Neal Wilder/Chris Smith
LT - Derek Sherrod
LG - Tobias Smith
C - J.C. Brignone
RG - Quinten Saulsberry
RT - Addison Lawrence

run to the left 70% of the time on running plays

I'd be playing a 3-4 on defense so here would be my defense:

DE - Pernell McPhee
NT - Kyle Love
DE - Sean Ferguson
OLB - K.J. Wright
MLB - Jamar Chaney
MLB - Chris White
OLB - Karlin Brown
CB - Marcus Washington
S - Charles Mitchell
S - Zach Smith
CB - Maurice Langston

K - Brauchle
P - Hutchins
KR - Langston/Berry
PR - Langston/Elliot
Fire Rick Stansbury

ha yeah well crxxm had a bunch of walk ons starting for him cause he had no clue... supposedly it is but if not i hear it will be no later than a month before our first game....having him and elliott back at 100% would be a huge advantage for the offense....

stallworth is questionable for the beginning of the season but i think people underestimate what his role would have been in the offense...he was quick and was playing RB, HB, and WR before he went down...and crxxm had him as a fullback at one time....

still cant put langston in there though until he gets his legal crap worked out...anybody know a timetable for that??

GO DAWGS!!!

Consider the source, Cianne. I usually never read anything that man has to say unless it's a recruiting update.

McRae should be better than ever come JSU time. He and Elliott have really done well in their rehabs.
