Missstate Interview with Byrne aka the "Ninja"
Challenges remain. He wants to better define goals and missions within sports and internal departments. "Part of the challenge," Byrne said, "is saying 'Why not us? What is our measure for being successful at Mississippi State University?" One challenge — finding a way to do what he wants to do, basically, within the confines of the budget — is evergreen.

Looking ahead, Byrne said priorities include nailing down the facilities master plan, the start of which is about to take shape, and forecasting budgets for the next few years. Given the economic times in which we live, that's an added priority. Bulldog Club giving in calendar year 2008 was up $2 million over 2007, Byrne said, and indications are positive for the future.

"It just felt like the right place for me. Coach Mullen is bringing an exciting offense to Mississippi State and I want to be part of that. With our class coming in and with the guys already there, it is going to be ridiculous." - Montrell Conner

LT sounds like my ex G/F she had an excuse for everything. You have not seen or heard any kind of excuses out of Byrne's mouth. Also listen to Mullen he hasnt said one neg thing about Mississippi State and nothing but good things. Crxxm always had excuses about everything.

Guys, I'm not racist, but Croom got where he was because of his race. Point blank.

no doubt, im not racist either but croom was a publicity stunt whether people like it or not....but i agree about mullen, so positive and upbeat about being here instead of "well its going to be hard" or "i dont know"...god, he said that way too many times....but anyways, there is so much energy around the school now because of byrne with the hires of mullen and cohen....

GO DAWGS!!!

I have been impressed with Byrne so far. I wish y'all didn't have him. He will do good things.
