Missstate Student Season Tickets Eclipse Single-Day Record; More Than 7,000 Purchased Monday
STARKVILLE - Last spring Mississippi State head football coach Dan Mullen made stops at more than 20 student organizations; it appears his grassroots efforts have paid off in a big way. On Monday, the MSU athletic department announced it had sold a single-day record of more than 7,000 student season tickets.

I know, Ole Miss sold out of our student ticket allotment today and many students are SOL, students camped out at the Tad Pad ticket office last night, Nutt ordered them all pizza and crap.

They did, but this was the first day they were on sale since the freshmen (and a lot of the upperclassmen) got up here Saturday. We didn't start classes until today.

I think they sell 10,000-11,000 student tickets, and they just went on sale this morning. So we sold almost all of them today. They expect to sell out completely by tomorrow afternoon.

Yeah, the student tickets at MSU did not go on sale till yesterday. There's only 11,000 available. Just under 4,000 left to buy.

Jack Cristil (Long time play-by-play announcer after the opening play against Jackson State. Instead MSU ran a reverse pass for the first time in their history.)
