With the departure of Chuck the Truck and Keiland Williams, what is the prognosis for the LSU running game? Maybe, pretty good!
While Richard Murphy has underperformed and will battle for playing time with FB Stevan Ridley, neither looks like the answer to the running game problems.
But, not to worry, because standing in the wings and coming on board are:
- Michael Ford, red-shirt out of Leesville, LA who may become the main man. Was a phenom RB in Louisiana high school football.
- Drayton Calhoun a red-shirt freshman out of Clarkston, GA who looks very good.
- Alfred Blue, freshman out of Boutte, LA who may well see a lot of playing time.
- Jakhari Gore, freshman out of Miami who has eye-popping abilities and speed to burn.
- Spencer Ware, freshman out of Cincinnatti, OH who is said to have it all.
- Brandon Worle, freshman out of LaGrange, GA who is a big (245) pounding FB.
If Miles can assemble an offensive line that can block, these RBs could help our offense to sparkle. I have hope.
