Default Less than impressed: SI's Mandel Says LSU Overrated
Stewart Mandel, who covers college football for Sports Illustrated says LSU is overrated this season. Mandel quibbled with the Tigers' 9th place ranking in the Associated Press college football poll. "LSU may be 2-0, but it has yet to look like a top 10 team," says Mandel, noting the Tiger defense looked shaky against Washington and the offense was unimpressive against Vanderbilt. "Two games in, the Tigers have provided little indication of their anticipated return to heavyweight status," he says. Read his comments here.

LSU will have a chance to get on track against the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Saturday night. The Tigers are 21-0 lifetime against the Ragin' Cajuns, who are a surprising 2-0 after beating Southern and Kansas State. Las Vegas bookmakers have the Tigers as a 27-point favorite. LSU also announced a change to its 2010 football schedule. The Tigers will play the University of Louisiana at Monroe in Tiger Stadium on Nov. 13, pushing the game against Southern Mississippi until the 2011 season.

I lost a bet so here's my new sig for awhile.
