Default Loston's Arrival Completes Class
Loston's arrival makes LSU perfect
Written by ESPN.com's Chris Low Tuesday, 25 August 2009 08:32

It's one thing to sign the No. 1-rated class in the country as LSU did this past February.

But to get that entire class into school?

Now that's pure Fantasy Land.

Not at LSU, though. The Tigers welcomed the final piece of their heralded 2009 class to practice Monday when safety Craig Loston of Aldine, Texas was cleared to play this season.

The 6-2, 193-pound Loston isn't a bad piece to add, either. He was rated by Scouts Inc. as the No. 1 safety prospect in America last year. Loston was delayed in coming to school because he'd been taking a class to complete academic requirements.

He's missed a lot of practice time, but you can bet that defensive coordinator John Chavis will work overtime to get a guy that big and that athletic on the field.

With Loston being cleared, that means all 25 signees got into school and are eligible to play. That's even more impressive when you consider the Tigers signed 10 ESPNU 150 prospects, including Russell Shepard, Rueben Randle, Sam Montgomery and Loston.

One member of this freshman class, though, may be on his way out. There were reports Monday that offensive lineman Carneal Ainsworth has quit the team.
