Hey Tigers (and all you others that slide over here to see what's going on with LSU),
Check out this t-shirt designed by my Brother, Roy Johnson for a contest at Tiger District. Can you Register, log in and cast a vote so they will begin printing the t-shirts if it wins the contest. For those that don't understand it, just about every SEC school outside of LSU refers to LSU fans as Corndogs. This originated when some local radio host in a city of another SEC school spouted his mouth off an stated that "all LSU fans smell like corn dogs."
After that comment it picked up steam and fans at other SEC schools began shouting "Corndog, Corndog" at passing LSU fans when we were playing road games. See the comment thread form the Tiger District page below that kind of explains a bit of the misunderstanding about the shirt design.
Hope on 08-08-2009 07:26am Who would be stupid enough to buy/wear a shirt based on an insult against LSU fans? Must be getting votes from a lot of auburn fans...surely we're smarter than this design suggests.
Rohan Lloyd on 08-08-2009 02:03pm Hope, obviously you were not at the game last year in Jordan Hare when we CAME BACK to beat Auburn, and were chanting 'We want Corn dogs', throughout the post-game celebrations and into the night. It is the greatest thing in fan-fare when u transcend a 'percieved' insult and make it a formidable weapon against your opponent. WE WANT CORNDOGS!!!
It is said that anyone who attended an LSU away game last year has likely heard the expression. Go to the site and vote on the shirt so Roy's design makes it to print. I would certainly wear one, especially to an away game.
For the record, I was in Auburn for the '08 game and stayed inside the stadium for awhile after the game, didn't hear any LSU fans talking about corndogs. Besides, "Corndog" is a Big XII/Nebraska thing, it's silly.
Auburn fans are subconcsiously suffering from lack of attention. They're so sensitive to their lack of success and their permanent second place status in their own state that they can't develop a decent sense of true tradition and class. I can't imagine the mental anguish that goes with two undefeated seasons since '93 with no national championship to show for it, that's hysterical.
I enjoy a good insult as much as anyone else, and I can give as well as I take, but SEC football and tradition is second to none, at least be try to be original folks.

You know, I once got banned from a Tennessee board for simply mentioning that Fulmer was "fat".
If that's all you had to contribute, then it doesn't surprise me. But don't sit here and try and convince me that Tennessee boards are somehow different or more sensitive to insults from other fans. It goes both ways. I know many opposing fans that post on Tennessee boards with no problems and have been doing so for years.
