Word from EOT sources says that Craig Loston has qualified and is waiting on the NCAA Clearinghouse.
LSU head coach Les Miles, speaking at the TAF Tiger Tour in Covington Thursday night, reportedly confirmed the blue-chip safety's status. Miles said that Loston's latest ACT score was good enough on the NCAA's sliding scale to make up for a core GPA which was close to the edge.


Loston will retake the ACT one more time, the coach said, just to be sure. But the Tiger coaching staff is now expecting to have him on LSU's campus at some point this summer when the Clearinghouse releases him to join the Tiger roster.


Loston's status is the final hurdle to full qualification of LSU's 24-man 2009 signing class. The Tigers are also adding at least seven preferred walkons and/or grayshirts, including:
