It's been fun watching Steltz's big hits all season. The guy will be playing on Sunday's next year and deservingly so. Here's a portion of
a great article on Steltz and his desire to finish what the Tigers started out to achieve at the beginning of the season: A BCS National Championship. Good stuff!
A part of the article:
Steltz’s trademark has been hard hits. Bone-jarring, filling-loosening body blows that frequently separate runner or receiver from the ball they are trying to possess. “He plays safety but it’s also like playing linebacker because he has to come into the box a lot,” linebacker Ali Highsmith said. “There’s never any doubt in my mind him coming in and missing a tackle. He comes in, lays a hit and — Boom! — he does it. It may be amazing to ya’ll, but we say, ‘There goes Steltz again.’ ”
LSU wide receiver Early Doucet has taken some of those shots in spring practice. “I got hit a few times by him and I got a slight headache,” he said. “I can imagine those (opposing) guys getting hit by him. I wouldn’t imagine they’d want to get hit by him again.” Complete article
