Default Joe McKnight At LSU This Weekend
Joe McKnight is one of the players visiting LSU and is being hosted by Early Doucet. The pressure will be on Doucet to not drop the ball. If Coach Miles and offensive coordinator Gary Crowton can convince McKnight that he is needed more at LSU than at USC and Alabama, I believe McKnight will sign with LSU. I do know that McKnight is very accustomed to winning championships at John Curtis and would like to attend a school that has a great chance of winning a national title. I also believe that playing close to his family and friends will be a factor in his decision. McKnight, Chad Jones, Jason Peters, Rishaw Johnson and Sam Proctor all arrived on campus at about the same time. There are reports that Joe McKnight and Chad Jones will be roommates if they both commit to LSU. I look for Jason Peters (DE, 6'3", 260), No. 8 on my 2007 top 100 list, to commit to Les Miles over the weekend and take the scholarship that was withdrawn from Luther Davis who is No. 12 on my top 100 list. I like trading a 12th ranked player for a 8th ranked player, especially when the 8th ranked player is one with great work habits and high academics.
