Yeah all this on a team that is 4-1 and not 2-4. Maybe Willis should have won so ya'll would have something to cheer about.

LSU shouldn't be cheering about much either giving up 5 turnovers to a mediocre (worse than Zook) Florida team all the while heading into their hard games.

The hurricanes directly affected families of nearly half of our team. That was draining. That took a toll. That made us weary, physically and mentally. That let the Vols come back to win in the second half. That caused beaucoup mistakes on everyone's part.

But that's all over now. The Bayou is back to normal. LSU is back to normal. The football team is back to normal.

That spells big trouble for everyone in our path, including, dear friend, Ole Miss. By the time we get through mopping you up in your itsy-bitsy environs of Vaught-Hemingway, you'll wonder how a Cajun coach could lose so badly to a team from his homeland. And all that will come after you see us hand The Barn and the Bammers the tragedies of their seasons. Wallopings!

I really don't appreciate you making light of the hurricane sir .. Ms sufferd more damage than LA.

I am glad LSU is back to normal .. that means they don't scare me .. Why cause Our Game will be a battle If you think you are coming into VHS an mopping us up you better think again . Les Miles already had his shot at us as a favorite ..

Geaux needs to go back to the pre football season personality .. casue this new one doesn't fit

How in the world can you interpret my post as making light of the hurricane??? Absolutely not. And both states suffered horrendous damage. We had more people affected; you had more land affected. We also sustained terrible damage during Rita, especially in the Lake Charles area. My point was that our campus and our players were directly affected and are now getting back to normal. I was saying that our poor performance against Tennessee was somewhat, not entirely, due to those circumstances. We have had bad coaching (certainly not hurricane related) and we have had tired players (likely due to the hurricane). If you are a college football player and your family and friends have lost houses and possessions, it is hard to get your mind on football. Now, all of that is subsiding. That was my point.

So We can use that excuse as well ...

as all 58 family members of Coache wilson's family were there with him .. as well as coach O's family .. and our players from NO and mississippi coast ..

yea you proabaly had more people affected becaseu New orleans is population is about the same a MS overall . But I am sick over the light way people take teh damage to mississppi , becasue the news centerd on NO .
and using that as a crutch for a football teams lackluster play cheapens it for all who have suffered

How did this thread turn into who had the most people affected by the hurricane. This was simply a thread congratulating a fine defensive performance by a player that has come on like gangbusters in the last few weeks. I believe all Geaux was trying to say is that all the distractions are behind this Tiger team and it is time to start playing up to their potential. By the way, you can use anything you want as an excuse for losing were not really having that problem on the bayou.
