Lightbulb LSU lands 4-star safety...
July 24, 2005
Clemons gives Miles his commitment
Mike Scarborough
TigerBait.com Recruiting Analyst

West Monroe safety Shomari Clemons ended the recruiting process Sunday as he gave LSU head coach Les Miles his verbal commitment. The Louisiana product stands at 6-foot-2, 210-pounds and runs a 4.6 in the 40-yard dash. He missed the first six games of his junior season with a high ankle sprain but he was still able to record 60 tackles, five sacks, four pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

I doubt it. He's a big time prospect in the state of LA. They haven't lost many lately.

Gotcha. But why would they leave? LSU is really the only big time college in their state. We got SC and Clemson.

LSU is cleaning up in that state which has given them an abundance of talent as Geaux gladly reminds us of on a daily basis.

Dude... don't forget Tulane! Ha-Ha And also LA. TECH (our Troy / Southern Miss-like giant killer). And don't forget UL-Monroe, the SEC's patsy. Then there are those Ragin Cajuns from UL-Lafayette who are up and down like a yo-yo. McNeese at Lake Charles is a champ in the minor leagues, and Northwestern State out of Natchitoches is as well. But, you're right... LSU has its pick in LA.

Geeez! You make me sound like a homer! But, of course, your are joking and everyone knows I'm anything but a homer! Ha-Ha-Ha Oh, and by the way, we are cleaning up in Florida, Texas, and Mississippi, too.

I wouldn't lay claim to Mississippi for much longer. Oh and we'll be taking all your New Orleans players courtesy of Coach Wilson

Okay, now... no fair. You guys stay out of New Orleans!! (Except, of course, to get loose on Toulouse occasionally.)
