According to Pat Forde, Travis Ford is going to be the new coach at LSU and that they are simply waiting on the Minutemen to finish up in the N.I.T. before announcing his hiring.

Any Bayou Bengals know more about the situation?

I don't know if it was Dandy Don or someone else I read that said they heard from a "realiable source" (yeah right?) that a basketball coach would be announced as early as Friday. So Ford could be the timing issue.

I've heard it's Ford. So we have a UK grad and a protege of the Rick Pitino coaching tree becoming our Coach. I wonder if Shaq and him will shake hands when Shaq visits next time. FYI, They played against each other back in the day and shaq broke his noise in a game, accidentially (??)

If we can get a basketball coach first we will. However, most coaches wont come here unless they know who the AD will be. Ford might not care though.
