Kentucky BCG pleads guilty
Matt Jones is reporting that Gillispie has just pleaded guilty to his DUI charge in Lawrenceburg. He's receiving the max: $1,000 fine, 30 days w/o license, and DUI classes.

Is it not weird that when coaches leave UK that their lives get all jacked up??


Yeah, I know, but Tubby is the exception to the rule.

Gillispie had a drinking problem before he got to Kentucky. I asked about it two years ago and PuddingTime had a massive coronary and pissed all over himself in the process. Then by the end of the season, not only did he jumped on the bandwagon but he was driving the mule.

^Guilty as charged. I admitted I was wrong about him then, and continue to do so now. The first season, my support of him was warranted given our situation. But that crap in season 2.....it was readily apparent he was not the solution to Kentucky's problem.

I never cared that he was a drunk. I still don't. I only care when it gets in the way of Kentucky basketball winning like we're supposed to.
