Hey, never saw this in any other threads, and was really curious to know if you ended up going to the Auburn game. You had mentioned that you might if you could convince the women folk to go, and I was really wanting to hear a first-hand, UK fan perspective on the game.
I wasn't able to convince them until Friday night...too late to secure tickets and have them mailed to me. I'm still in Destin right now........we did have some friends that went to the game and then came to Destin for a couple of days. They said it was friggin freezing, but they really enjoyed the game.....said the Auburn fans were really good to them and that getting out of Auburn after the game was a nightmare lol. The waited almost an hour to take a shuttle from where they parked to the stadium..said they should've just walked to the stadium from where they parked lol. They really liked the stadium and loved the flight of the Eagle. They thought the Cat 'D' looked great and thought that Auburn probably helped our cause. My friend is like me in thinking we'd better develop a passing game with Fidler and Newton as we won't be able to rely on just the running game against our remaining SEC foes. They said many Auburn fans in the upper deck left midway through the 4th qtr......I watched the game with about 40 other UK fans at a sports bar in San Destin with a few Auburn fans sprinkled in.

Aw, I hate that you didn't get to go. One of the Auburn posters (Cemen or ATS, I don't remember, and don't feel like looking it up) commented on how cool the UK fans were. I thought you might have been among them.
I noticed the stadium emptying, too, on a wide shot shortly after UK's TD to go ahead. I was shocked, thinking "don't you people know who your'e playing?" I think the weather was a huge ally for UK. Sum a dem pansies can't handle a little cool weather.
not to interupt or anything. But are all other fans like, jerks or something? Everytime im in Auburn i see oppesing fans and there like "omg i cant believe how nice the people are here there always welcomeing and not rude" the only fan base i was rude to was West Virginia because they were a bunch of jerks. The kentucky fans we were sitting near were jerks, but if we were doing such things in lSU and i was there im sure i would be a jerk at that point also.

These USC players have to be embarrassed, I mean, come on! They got beat by players that actually have to go to class!-Jay Leno

I don't really know what you're trying to say here, but I didn't feel like you were interrupting. And what's ISU? I'm confused.
LSU. I was just wondering bc everyone seemed shocked at all our games that the fans were polite and stuff. And I was like, well, maybe other fans are jerks or something.

Most all UK fans have always thought Auburn and Bama fans have been great.....EVERY school has it's share of intoxicated a$%wipes.

The only people I've ever heard say bad things about Auburn fans when Auburn is hosting are Bama fans, which is no surprise. I've never had the chance to attend a football game here in Lexington when we played Auburn, but I've been to countless UK-AU basketball games at Rupp and the Auburn fans are always great. I'll strike up 20 minute conversations on the concourse smoking a cig w/a visiting group of Tiger fans. Great folks. I can't say that Vols or Gator fans have conducted themselves in as classy a manner when visiting us. The Gator statement applies to basketball season, they're great when visiting Lex for football. Vols fans all around, all season long....I've been to Knoxville and obviously I've been here....it's no different where I am. Same story w/them.
