Got bored, and was watching some football and basketball clips on YouTube. Hearing "Hail State" when we finally do something to own another team just gives me chills sometime.
Of course, PT will hear all the "Hail State" he can handle in Lexington AND Starkville next year.
I would go to the UK-MSU game in Lexington next year but I don't want to get my arse beat when we beat the hell out of those housecats.
Just don't go into the bathrooms at Rupp and you'll probably be fine. You guys do realize your roster doesn't even come close to sniffin ours behinds....but hey, as long as ya'll are excited for basketball I'm fine. I'm not stressing any team in the SEC though. A clean sweep is looking more and more likely this year. If you think MSU is going to be better than UK, please, explain, why we're odds on favorite to win the national title next season?
Anyway......a Kansas City sports radio's twitter account is saying Xavier Henry is staying at Kansas. Andy Katz is saying that Carl Henry told him he's headed to Kentucky.
Hopefully, whether he's a Wildcat or a Jayhawk, this crap gets settled tomorrow.
We'll see, PT. I'm extremely excited about the game. Have you ever been to the Hump?
The year we went to the Final Four (I think) Texas came to the Hump and their coach said it was the hardest place he had ever played at.
I love the Hump.
If you really want to compare rosters, how is ours that far behind yours? I'll give the advantage to Kentucky... but not by much.
Varnado is going to be one of the best players in the country, let alone SEC. Osby, Augustus, Bailey, Bost, SIDNEY, Johnson, Turner...
John Wall is a beast. And freshman in basketball and freshman in football are two different things, but our players have a year of experience under their belt... along with the best defensive player in maybe NCAA history.
I'd guess about 8 hours or something like that. No easy drive. I hope lots of UK fans make it down. The Hump really holds sound well and gets rocking when the games are good. When we snapped our late-season swoon last year against Florida, the Hump exploded near the end.
A few Florida players (I think from their NC teams) said that the Hump was the most difficult place they had ever played. It gets a different kind of loud.
Lemme see if I can find the video of our game against the Gators last year. Rupp exploded.....Calathes bricked his FT's because we were so damn loud. I'd say our 24,000 gets louder in the end.
AP: Xavier Henry, Kansas' 6'6" incoming All-American, announced tonight that he is staying at the school he reluctantly committed to a few weeks ago. A source close to the situation says that Xavier met with Jayhawk coaches Bill Self and Danny Manning on Tuesday night to discuss the situation.
"Coach Self got down on his knees and gave me the Andy Dufresne shower-time special," said Carl Henry, Xavier's overbearing and horse-toothed father. "Danny Manning told Xavier that it doesn't get any better than Kansas, unless, of course, you were at UCLA, Kentucky, or UNC, but we like to think of ourselves as partakers of a second-rate tradition, and Xavier wants to continue in that role."
When asked about Kansas' chances in winning a title next year, Carl Henry seemed very encouraged. "We've got it all. This team has depth, coaching, NBA-talent, and great players at each position. They remind me of those old Jayhawk teams that routinely choked in the nineties. I think Xavier will do a great job in becoming this generation's version of Eric Chenowith."
Xavier was asked why he changed his mind. "It was all about keeping my word," he said. "That and pleasing my domineering mother. I mean, why follow your heart when you have a verbal committment on the line? It's not like I signed a piece of paper that binded me to any school with the coach who actually recruited me."
Tyrone Appleton and Quentrell Thomas couldn't be reached for comment. Xavier also announced he will have a press conference Thursday in which he will show off what his teeth look like without braces.
They say the "Henrys" are staying with Kansas, but I've only read that Xavier confirmed, not C.J. I just hope there won't be any backlash from all this garbage.

This is the best scenario. We don’t need any more ultra egos in our locker room, especially as big as these guys. Instead its best to let these cancers eat away at Kansas, fill ‘em full of doubt and have them all wishing they had gone to UK by the end of the season.
Although state has had our number lately, I honestly think we can sweep the SEC again this year. And any place called “the hump” aint got s@*! on Rupp.

It's their parents (Carl) with the egos. Carl is as crazy as a ran over dog.
