Kentucky Curtis Pulley arrested twice in last two months (Strange story)
And the coaches just found out about it last Friday through the media. How does that happen in this day and age? Really bizarre situation. Wonder what this does for UK's QB situation?

Makes Mike Hartline the starter....which was a good chance of happening anyway.......it is a very tight QB battle.

How are the coaches handling this? Do they feel deceived by Pulley?

It was kind of funny, or not... depending on if you're a UK fan or not. I was reading threads all over CatsPause where the vast majority of the fans were talking about getting rid of the kid for the marijuana smoking and arrest. Of course, a few pointed out that all college students smoke pot from time to time; and one even claimed he was around Andre Woodson enough to know that he smoked every day he was at UK. In typical CatsPause fashion, others came along to confirm that assertion... "I know for a FACT".

The interesting part was that I had just read the story about the second arrest in Hardin County on traffic charges including speeding, driving on a suspended or revoked license and having expired or no plates or registration papers; and these guys hadn't even heard about that one yet. All these inside sources and know-it-all's calling for his head; and they weren't even informed enough to know what I did, by accidentally running across an article on a major news site, that turned out to only be one of about 5 news sites that had a story on the matter. I haven't gone back to take the temperature since, but if the earlier statements, without knowledge of the new charges are any indication, they're probably ready to drag the kid around Churchill Downs behind a thoroughbred. That is, except for the kids who regularly smoked the blue grass with Andre Woodson.

I don't know about that.... my cousin was one of Woodson's O-linemen, and knew him pretty well.... never mentioned anything about him smoking the ganja. Not saying he never did... just that I doubt he did it as frequently as you're insinuating.

You need to take English 101 all over again. I didn't say the kid EVER smoked marijuana... I didn't even insinuate it. In fact, I don't even believe it myself. What I said was, UK fans on one of their their websites made the claim.

That happens when people either can't or won't take the time to contemplate what someone is saying... repeatedly. Aside from that, I guess it's also tiresome to be called a liar (in so many words), regarding topics UF fans have considerably more info about. Most of the Gator fans on this site who comment about the goings-on at their school are either current students, alumni who still have ties to the school, or in my case, the son of two alumni who grew up in Gainesville, has lived there off and on since, goes down several times a year, and still has family currently enrolled. Yet, even when we confirm or refute a claim or report, Dawg fans still think they have the inside track, and call us on everything.

Don't get me wrong, it's flattering that UGA fans are more interested in what's going on at our university than their own; but, if you truly want to know what's up, simply listen, and we'll be happy to oblige. On topics that are a matter of opinion, we have no problem... everybody's entitled to theirs. You say UGA is a better team... fine, I disagree. You say Richt didn't do anything unsportsmanlike... fine, I disagree (as did he, himself, after thinking it over). You think Tebow lost UF games... fine, I think our secondary did. You think Stafford won you games... fine, I think UGA's balance did.

But, some things, like stats and numbers, don't lie; and I refer to them in almost every post. Why? Like I said, they don't lie. I do my homework before posting, and my research is meticulous and impeccable before I do. The reason I do that is because I've seen enough stupid posts and opinions, usually based only on the perception from a view through the glasses of one shade or the other; and I want nothing more than to try and avoid that with my own contributions. It may seem strange to you; but facts, figures, and stats have no bias, no slant, no prejudice. And, with enough study, most things regarding game outcomes and standings can be resolved through those numbers. Not always, because they don't keep stats on emotion, heart, desire, revenge, leadership, attitude, etc.. But, when I choose to debate, it's a good bet that I'll have the analytical side of the argument well researched before I waste anyone's time reading what I post. It's none of my business if anyone else chooses to do that; but, if they don't, they should at least be careful not to call out those of us who do; and be responsible enough not to get personal simply because they've been proven wrong... no matter how many times it happens.

On a lighter note, I'll trash talk all day, if that's my intent. I like having a little fun at the other guy's expense, too. But, I think we all know the difference between trash talk and a serious debate. I love a little comic relief to end a discussion that has taken up 4 or 5 pages, and folks just need to agree they disagree. Bottom line: I'm sorry if so many Dawg fans find so many things unbelievable about UF's program. If Gator fans didn't see these things for themselves, they'd have trouble believing them, too. But, at some point, you really have to accept that we may know a thing or two about what our program's up to. Hell, Gator fans probably don't believe Stafford is actually getting in shape; but, you don't see us going on and on about it. Most Gator fans know for a fact that UGA has some significant injuries on their team heading into fall practice; but, you don't see us starting thread after thread speculating about it, and then calling you out when we don't get the answer we want in response. Why? Because, frankly, we don't give a f*ck. We've been handling UGA's a$$ for the last 18 years, and see no reason why it shouldn't continue. UGA has had the best team plenty of years that they still lost. And, really, that's probably the biggest difference. The team who's usually dominating a series isn't really concerned about what the other team is up to... they're focused on their own program. I know back in the '80's, when I was in high school in Georgia, UGA fans didn't give two sh*ts what UF was doing this year or that... they pretty much knew they were going to win. And, they thought it'd never change... but, it did. It's just reversed now; and it's not our fault you weren't around for the glory years.

This, folks... is what losing a rivalry game does to a person.

That, folks, is what happens when you deal with children posing as adult sports fans. I must admit it was a valiant effort on your part, to keep up the charade of maturity for so long; but, ultimately, you proved even less capable of dealing with even minor success, as you are at handling repeated loss.

The only thing worse than a poor loser is a poor winner. Thankfully, the most flagrant group of fans that prove that adage never win enough to be more obnoxious than they already are. Hell, if UGA won the NC, sites all over the internet would be forced to ban all but a few Dawg fans; as the presence of so many embarrassments to their university brings down the intelligence, dignity, and respect of the sites' collective membership.

I say if Pulley is guilty of both charges, then they kick him off the team. We've not heard what the coaching staff thinks yet.....but I'm sure it isn't good lol.

What do you know... I was sure there was a topic we were discussing.

BTW, do you know if these are his only missteps? Maybe if he hasn't been in trouble like this before, Brooks could just do like the rest of our coaches, and give him a few more shots to get his act together. That seems to be the prevailing course of action these days; no matter which team's coach you're talking about.

Pulley has been in hot water before. Legend has it that he beat out Woodson for the starting QB spot back in the summer of 2006 but Pulley wasn't going to class so they gave the job to Woodson. That's the main reason he redshirted last year--so he could focus on the books. Then Joker came out this summer and said that Hartline was proving he wanted the job more based on his leadership abilities. Always got the impression that Pulley has "it" but he doesn't get "it." Two totally different things. I think Brooks is probably deciding right now when to cut his losses.

You really should take a few days off from the forum. You've got some serious issues right now. You need to step back, consider all this crap about maturity you're talking about, and then take a look at the posts you've been making the last few days.
