Geogia Richt to FSU
I have been hearing rumors that the Alum at FSU want Jimbo's contract bought out and a serious push to get Richt back. I can see why they would love him considering FSU has been crap since he left, but I don't see Richt leaving Georgia. Martinez and maybe Bobo but bot Richt. Discuss?

Seats getting hot at UGA....so possible
Show class, have pride and display character. If you do, winning takes care of itself.

Sure would be a lot easier to win in the ACC...but trading UGA for f$u would be like trading a filet mignon for a ham sammich.

So, FSU would trade an old coach that constantly underperforms with superior talent for his younger protege that does the same thing, but without the rings? Bowden's obviously a college football icon and Richt is a nice guy, but if I'm FSU, I either stick with Jimbo or look elsewhere. Richt is not the answer.

That is pretty accurate, I would say. Richt is in deep schit now so why would Free Shoes go after him when there are some better choices to be sought.

You never trade up from the SEC. Bobby Johnson has a better job than Pete Carroll, Jim Tressel, and Charlie Weis combined.

This is one of those moments when I wish D^3 were still here.

We would get a thesis on how Richt is never leaving UGA. Not only that but how is not on the hot seat right now.
All this being said I personally don't believe Richt goes to F$U (He would still have to play the Gators once a year)

Come on Geaux you have got to be kidding. Tubbs a better coach than Richt? Tubbs stock has fallen and even FSU would not go after him.

NO!!! I wanted a shot at Tommy when Spurrier decides to hang it up. He could be a good fit here!

This is a ridiculous statement.

As for Richt, he isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Georgia will give him the benefit of the doubt unless there is someone out there they know can come in and make a difference and right now I'm not seeing anybody. Well except for

Richt isn't going to FSU. Jimbo is the guy there unless someone wants to buy HIM out and I'm not seeing that happen anywhere.

If you're interested in playing in the 2010 SECTalk Fantasy Baseball League, post in the Games and Fantasy forum and let us know.

You are right. Except for Tennessee, you cannot trade up from the SEC. Thanks for informing me of my glaring error.

I knew as soon as I saw the title of this thread Tommy Tubs would come into the discussion. It's like I'm a psychic.
