| Sweet. Looks like a promising player at DE.... where we've been kind of weak at this year. | ||

Isn't this kind of normal to have a couple more commitments than you have scholarships? I could swear that happens just about every year. Seems like there are always 1 or 2 that either don't end up signing or don't qualify.

| Hah Alabama's probably gonna sign over 25 and we have less than 20 open slots. Attrition always happens, whether someone gives up football (injury or not) or transfers. | ||

| BTW, that Robinson commitment pushed us from the #9 spot behind Florida to #5 in the national recruiting rankings. Eat it Gators. ![]() | ||

Didn't you sign 31 last year? Don't some of them count for this year? Only 25 can enroll per year.

| think we signed 32 but 2 will backcounter for this year (preyear and murphy). And yes, I know we can only enroll 25 every year but Saban did it last year he'll do it again this year ![]() | ||

The really good news about this class is that it is the highest average rating of any Georgia class since Rivals started ranking recruits in 2002. (And the 2008 class was the second highest.) And at least for this class, so far, we have closed the gap on Florida that was opened with Urban Meyer's arrival (UF has had 3 straight top 3 classes).

What's even more impressive about that is that Richt has managed to close the gap despite UF's success.

-- Stafford and Moreno might not have won an SECC, but the attention they have brought to Georgia has increased the talent of our last two classes. -- Tennessee and Auburn imploding helps. -- Shannon hasn't done much on the field, but he has improved Miami's recruiting compared to the last few Coker years. An improved FSU and Miami would really help with bringing Florida's talent back to Earth somewhat.

That's a really good point. There's no doubt that a big part of Meyer's success has been a lopsided advantage to in-state recruits. I'll hand it to Randy Shannon, he has impressed me with the names he's bringing in this 09 class. Now if only Bowden would get his sh** together, Florida wouldn't look so much like USC east coast campus every year.
