I also heard that they changed the Wikipedia article to say that Uga VII committed suicide rather than face another loss to GaTech. Though it has been fixed.

I hope we stomp a mud hole in those nerds.

PETA has a suggestion for Georgia and its mascot replacement (Uga VII died last week).

The organization says Georgia could use an "animatronic dog" or a person in a Bulldog costume, WGAU 1340-AM in Athens reported.

PETA sent its suggestion to Georgia athletic director Damon Evans, according to WGAU.

The e-mail reads: "It is time for the university to put an end to the cycle of suffering endured by dogs who are brought into the world solely to represent the school's 'brand.' "
