Given High Fives: 147 Rep Power: 204  |  Urban Meyer is taking up for his team. He got himself fined for 2 reasons, IMO.
1. To show that he's got his teams back.
2. Get the media's attention off of the players and put it on himself.
Those are the reasons why he got himself fined, IMO. Brandon Spikes and the team has taken a lot of heat in the media from hypocrites like Mike Golic.
He is defending his team and he's got their back. If it takes getting fined 30k to let them know that, then so be it. |
