1. Normal people think before they act, its called being sensible. Thats why we don't go poking people's eyes out when we get emotional. We usually think about the CONSEQUENCES, but in his case there are none
Have you ever played a "competitive" organized sport? Emotions run high and sometimes reasonable people do things they regret...I know I did. However, the hypocrisy comes into play when you don't subject your own players to the same criticism. Spikes had his eyes gouged...as did Tebow. Now, Tebow's was likely accidental, however, Brandon's was obviously not...it even drew a PF call. Again, I'm not taking up for Brandon...but the only reason his actions are such a big deal is because the UGA player that got him wasn't caught.

Again, it's your problem that you failed to see the sarcasm in that post.

Our player almost got blinded, Tebow was hit late, Brandon James nearly got his head yanked off...like I said, glass houses.

Nope...but you criticize our coach for not punishing Spikes more...when, it's your coach that didn't punish his player AT ALL....again, glass houses.

Spikes made a mistake...it was a terrible mistake, but no one was hurt. One mistake doesn't make a man a POS...especially if that mistake doesn't hurt anyone. And by your logic...Most of UGA's team consists of PsOS. The guy the hit Tebow late, the guy that tried to decapitate James, the guy that gouged Spikes eye...I guess they're all thugs and POS too.
Its not just me, or UGA fans for that matter. This deal had become a major topic on ESPN for about 2-3 days. I am sure they are just bitter about UGA losing too. Why is it that this is getting more attention that the UGA players? Just because it is caught on camera? Yeah that has a lot to do with it, he got caught. Which last time I checked, getting caught is what gets you into trouble every time
And yes, I was involved in a sport that some might consider a hell of a lot more physical or emotional than football. Yet at the same time I didn't try to break someones arm or continue to choke them AFTER they tapped out, no matter how emotional I got.
Emotion explains minor violations for example late hits or things of that sort, these are not intended to do permanent damage. You cannot argue against the fact that an eye gouge is on a completely different level and is intended to do permanent damage

yo GH.............I am so over this topic but that "Spikes got his eyes gouged" is weak dude lol....I saw the vid
No doubt it wasn't as "blatant" as Spikes...but equally as effective...more so, really, because Ealey didn't miss a play....Spikes had to come out of the game for a couple of series.
I just laugh at UGA fans when they speak of "how shocking" it was...considering how thuggish their entire team played for 60 minutes...I'm just surprised it didn't turn into a bench-clearing brawl at some point...there was some nasty stuff going on.

Uh... he came out of the game because of him re injuring whatever it was that he had hurt last week. What was it his groin? I forgot.
Either way, it wasn't because of his eyes
And again, unless ESPN and several other sports writers are all "UGA fans" it ain't just us broham

Yea...he came out for 2 series because he re-injured his groin...then he went back in because it miraculously got better...
Spikes got his eye gouged...went to the sideline rubbing his eye...it was on the telecast plain as day...
Let me repeat again...I can understand why anyone in America would criticize Spikes'...but think it's hilarious that UGA fans do considering how dirty their team played on Saturday. Read it slowly...maybe it'll finally sink in.
