Let me repeat again...I can understand why anyone in America would criticize Spikes'...but think it's hilarious that UGA fans do considering how dirty their team played on Saturday. Read it slowly...maybe it'll finally sink in.
I saw him holding his leg.... not his eye

Its not just me, or UGA fans for that matter. This deal had become a major topic on ESPN for about 2-3 days. I am sure they are just bitter about UGA losing too. Why is it that this is getting more attention that the UGA players? Just because it is caught on camera? Yeah that has a lot to do with it, he got caught. Which last time I checked, getting caught is what gets you into trouble every time

And yes, I was involved in a sport that some might consider a hell of a lot more physical or emotional than football. Yet at the same time I didn't try to break someones arm or continue to choke them AFTER they tapped out, no matter how emotional I got.
Emotion explains minor violations for example late hits or things of that sort, these are not intended to do permanent damage. You cannot argue against the fact that an eye gouge is on a completely different level and is intended to do permanent damage

Anyhow...I can truly understand the non-UGA fans perceptions of Spikes...and maybe even of Urban's punishment...or lack thereof. It's embarrassing for the conference...it embarrassed me as a Gator. But any Gator will tell you...in spite of how Brandon "looks"...or what his brother has done, he is a good guy. He does tons of community work in Gainesville and often accompanies Tebow on his weekly treks to Shand's Children's Hosptial. He's a decent guy...he just let his emotions get the best of him on one play. I don't think any Gators on this board agree with what he did...but considering how much shiat he'd taken up to that point, I'm just amazed an all-out brawl didn't occur first. Brandon had a target on his back from the opening KO. He got his eyes raked...and unlike Ealey...his eye was minimally damaged...he actually had to go to the sideline, Ealey kept going. Brandon took several late hits to the back by OL...had his helmet ripped off twice...heck, he even had his hair pulled. Nobody gives a rat's ass about all that, though...

What I find monumentally hilarious is the fact that poodle fans are creating the biggest ruckus...knowing their entire team played as dirty as any team not in garnet and gold that I've watched in many years.

Forget the fact that one of UGA's starters was arrested last week...and started the stinkin' game!!! They're pissed that Spikes isn't being punished more severely...GMAFB!

Honestly...the pups got taken to the woodshed in J-ville...again...and this is the only subject they can post on without holding their heads in shame. I'm not bunching all you UGA fans together...some of you are sensible...but to the few that embarrass your fan base, think about what your coach and team done this past Saturday before throwing stones our way.

GO GATORS!!!
And again......
I find this hilarious because the two initial threads were started NOT BY UGA FANS, and then you have all of the ESPN guys again, we didn't creat most of the ruckus

I do however see your point from your most recent post, but this one implies something completely different.

Spikes did hurt his eye GatorHater24, I saw him spraying water on it on the sideline during the game. Whether or not his eye was hurt intentionally, I don't know. It didn't really seem that way from the video.

It looked like his helmet wasn't strapped on well, and came off when Chapas (#49) was blocking him and then Chapas blocked a little chippier when moved by the growing pile behind him and that's when the helmet came off and Spikes eye got hurt.
