Oh, I'm plenty supportive of the player. Spikes f*cked up; but everybody does at one time or another. I hope he learns something from the whole affair. Primarily I hope he learns not to sink to the level of other athletes who might not be getting the best coaching effort about what constitutes clean play.

You can't retaliate to that extent just because the other team has decided to play like a bunch of convicts in the prison yard.
