...has been cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse...they only waited until after the second game fo the season to clear him...to add insult to injury, they further stated they had no issues with any of his grades/scores...which basically means he was clear all along...they just waited until now to let UF know.

As it turns out, Meyer had planned to RS Brown all along. In an interview yesterday, Meyer said that he had spoken to his wife about Brown and they both agreed that it would be better for the Gators if Brown played this season...but it would be better for Brown to RS and become acclimated to college classes. It was discovered, rather late, that Brown has a learning disability and Urban and Shelly believe that it would be in Brown's best interest to RS his first year and get the tutoring he'll need to become a productive student.

Gators, we're lucky to have such a great "family" in Gainesville.

Just heard this a few minutes ago, great news. Unfortunate that he'll redshirt this year, I really feel like we need some help on the inside of that defensive line.

Just setting us up for an amazing year next year.
